Consultation on employment indicators

HEFCE circular letter 25/00, 'Consultation on employment indicator', outlined plans for two employment indicators. Both are measures of unemployment, and each will have its own benchmark. Current performance indicators (PIs) of access and progression have benchmarks which take account of entry qualifications, subject of study, and age. The benchmarks for the employment indicator need to take other factors into account. The document "Modelling for employment benchmark" outlines the factors that have been included at this stage, and how the benchmark has been constructed. The final model will take account of the responses to the consultation.
