Sun Micrososystems is a strategic partner in the eUniversity venture, providing all the systems hardware, Learning Management System and consultancy to the project, as well as a significant amount of the software technology needed to make this solution a success.

Sun has provided some of its leading Professional Services consultants to the project, including two of the worlds leading Java developers. This is a truly international effort on Sun's behalf with expertise being utilized from the UK, Europe the United States and Canada.

The eUniversity is one of the first Sun ONE solutions in the UK, providing a truly scalable, available and robust solution. The eUniversity is based on Sun's Enterprise servers, Solaris operating environment, LearnTone Learning Management System, iPlanet Internet software and Java (J2EE) technology.
