‌Biography and registered interests

Martin is a member of the Board of the Competition and Markets Authority, Deputy Chair of the Office for Students, a member of Council of the University of Kent, and a trustee of Police Now. He has held board or similar level positions at the Economic and Social Research Council and the Solicitors Regulation Authority.  

Martin was a partner at legal services group Norton Rose Fulbright where he headed the global competition and regulatory law practice, and before that he lectured in law at Brunel University. 

He was educated at the University of Oxford where he studied law at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
