HEFCE's financial strategy and scheme of delegated decision making

Financial strategy

Our financial strategy sets out how we use our financial resources to deliver our objectives. This allows financial resources to be targeted and to ensure they deliver their intended outcomes.

Financial regulations and scheme of delegated decision making

The financial regulations provide a framework, within our internal controls, for managing our finances. They set out the financial rules within which all HEFCE staff will operate.

Within these financial regulations there is a scheme of delegation from the HEFCE Board. This allows for effective decision making, while ensuring proper accountability. The scheme was updated in October 2011.
