Committees

The HEFCE Board's committees are structured around five main themes:

• Teaching, quality and the student experience
• Widening access and participation
• Research and innovation
• Enterprise and skills
• Leadership, governance and management

These committees advise the Board on the effectiveness of its strategies. To this end they monitor the Council's progress towards its objectives.

^*These committees operate jointly with the Training and Development Agency for Schools or the other funding bodies.
