Biography and registered interests
Professor Madeleine Atkins CBE
Professor Atkins' background includes reading Law and History at the University of Cambridge, completing a PhD at the University of Nottingham, and teaching in a large comprehensive school in Huntingdon. Following various senior positions at the University of Newcastle, she became Vice-Chancellor of the University of Coventry in 2004. Madeleine is a member of HEFCE's Audit Committee. She makes an active contribution to public life both at regional and national level.
