Biography and registered interests
Robert Douglas, CBE
Until the end of 1999, Rob Douglas worked for the Royal Dutch/Shell Group where he held a number of senior finance and general management posts. He was Chair of the Surrey Learning and Skills Council from 2000 to 2008, and was a non-executive Director and Deputy Chairman of the South East England Development Agency from 2001 to 2007. From 2004 to 2010 Rob was a member of various advisory boards at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. He is a business adviser specialising in senior executive development.
Rob lives in Walton upon Thames and is married with two sons.
He chairs the HEFCE Board's Audit Committee and serves on the Strategic Development Fund Panel.
