Web-site accessibility

We aim to make the HEFCE web-site accessible to all. To achieve this we have redesigned the site so that it conforms to the Priority 1 and 2 checkpoints of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines. These are internationally recognised standards created by the Worldwide Web Consortium.

N.B. The Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001 came into force in September 2002 requiring all web-sites in the education sector to be accessible.
