Introduction

This section of our site provides a brief introduction to the Freedom of Information Act, Data Protection Act, our information charter, and the Environmental Information Regulations. It also shows how to request information from us.

We have always been as open as possible about the work we do, and we make available a lot of information through our web-site, including a list of HEFCE publications that are distributed to the higher education sector. Our publication scheme is a guide to the information we routinely publish or intend to publish.

We are constantly seeking to improve access to our information, and therefore welcome any comments you have regarding this section of our site. Please see our Feedback section.
