Strategic partnership
A strategic alliance for health and social care exists between HEFCE and the Department of Health . The alliance recognises the interdependence of teaching, research and patient care. The alliance provides a framework for strengthened partnership between HEFCE and the Department. It highlights the importance of liaison and joint-working, timely consultation, information exchange and the need to take strategic and longer-term views on issues of shared interest.
