Charges and appeals

We may charge for responding to some requests. There are separate fee regulations for requests made under the Freedom of Information Act (2000) and the Environmental Information Regulations (2004). The document below outlines our criteria for charging and the supporting legislation.

If you ask us for information and are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to appeal against our decision. The document below explains our policy for dealing with appeals made under the following legislation on access to and use of public sector information:

  • Freedom of Information Act (2000)
  • Environmental Information Regulations (2004)
  • Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations (2005).
