Midlands and South Institutional Team

HEFCE's Midlands and South institutional team supports higher education providers across the East and West Midlands, South East and South West regions of England.

tracy_allanTracy Allan

Regional Consultant, Midlands and South 

Tracy leads on the Council's interaction with universities and colleges in the East and West Midlands, and has oversight of regional developments and maintains contact on behalf of the Council with regional agencies and stakeholders across the Midlands. Tracy has worked for HEFCE since 1991 and, prior to becoming a Regional Consultant, was a Senior Policy Advisor in the Learning and Teaching Policy team where she led on teaching funding policy, including student number controls. Before that she had regional consultant responsibilities for HEIs in Devon and Cornwall. She has also worked in the Leadership, Governance and Management Policy team and the London Institutional team.

Regional Consultant, Midlands and South

Victoria leads on the Council's interactions with universities and colleges in the South West and on strategic projects. Previously Victoria worked in the North and the London and East teams as Senior Policy Adviser and Regional Consultant managing the team’s operation and leading national health HE policy. She also gained experience in research and widening participation roles. Before joining HEFCE in 2007, Victoria worked at the Arts and Humanities Research Council, European Parliament and in local government.

Lucy Parker

Regional Consultant, Midlands and South

Lucy leads on the Council's engagement with universities and colleges in the South East. She also maintains contact with the region's agencies and stakeholders.

Prior to joining HEFCE in 2017, Lucy worked at a university in the South West and, before this, she spent 18 years in the private sector working for energy and technology companies in Europe and Asia.
