Indicative teaching enhancement and student success allocation

As part of the web facility or funding and monitoring data exercise we provide several indicative funding summaries, including the indicative teaching enhancement and student success (TESS) allocation output. This output provides an indication of how we may use HESA or ILR data to inform the improving retention element of the TESS allocation. The two other elements of TESS (institutional learning and teaching strategies, and research informed teaching) are not informed by HESA or ILR data and we therefore do not show them in the indicative TESS allocation output.

The indicative TESS allocation output is provided solely to highlight potential HESA or ILR data errors. It should not be considered as any kind of funding commitment by us and is without prejudice to what our Board may agree to be the final allocation for any institution.
