As part of the web facility we provide several funding and monitoring data outputs, including HEFCE-fundable FTE student numbers for TRAC(T).
TRAC(T) is a national framework for costing teaching based on Transparent Approach to Costing (TRAC) principles. TRAC(T) guidance provides a method for reporting these subject-related costs of teaching by cost centre.
Further details on TRAC(T), including general guidance, updates and an advice note for senior managers, can be found on our TRAC(T) funding pages and under TRAC(T) guidance on the Joint Costing and Pricing Steering group (JCPSG) web-site .
Institutions are required to submit data on subject-related costs of HEFCE-fundable provision against HEFCE-fundable student FTEs for each cost centre as part of their annual TRAC(T) return. This is referred to as Subject-FACTS (Subject-related Full Average Costs of Teaching a Student). We will pre-fill the annual TRAC(T) return with HEFCE-fundable student FTEs for each cost centre from HESA student data.
