Business & community
Our work with business and the community is one of the ways in which we support higher education's (HE) contribution to the economy and society.
Our activities in this area seek to create more engagement – or 'knowledge exchange' - between the knowledge and expertise at universities and colleges and the wider world. This includes enhancing economic development and the strength and vitality of society, particularly focusing on innovation and enterprise.
With other partners we are aiming to secure long-term funding for this kind of activity as a main 'third stream' of funding alongside teaching and research.
