Tiers and caps for the matched funding scheme for voluntary giving 2008 to 2011
Under the matched funding scheme for voluntary giving all higher education institutions and directly funded further education colleges were invited to select one of three tiers with different funding ratios and caps. HEFCE has now set final cap levels for all three tiers.
Tier 1
The cap level for tier 1 will be £200,000.
Tier 2
The cap level for tier 2 will be £1,350,000.
Tier 3
The cap level for tier 3 will be £2,750,000.
Revised percentage payments
Percentage payments have been revised to follow the profile of funding in this year's grant letter. Institutions will receive confirmation of their second year percentage payout by letter in February 2011.
