Grant announcements
Every March we announce the grant for the following academic year to each university and college that we fund. In July we issue funding agreements to institutions incorporating any necessary changes to grant. A final allocation statement is made later in the year.

Summary of allocations 2011-12 (March 2011)
The total HEFCE grant available for the 2011-12 academic year is £6,507 million. This total includes:

- These figures are correct as of March 2011.
- The knowledge exchange allocation of £150 million was confirmed by the HEFCE Board in January 2011.
