As the single front door to business support in Gloucestershire, The Growth Hub (based at the University of Gloucestershire’s Oxstalls Campus) simplifies and rationalises local and national resources for business support.

30,000+ businesses in Gloucestershire have access to a team of Business Navigators and Business Guides, offering two distinct support services, depending on the size and status of business:

For earlier stage businesses and those experiencing moderate growth, the Navigators offer signposting, introductions and information on where businesses can go to get the support they need.

For larger businesses and those growing rapidly, the Guides are on-hand to offer direct advice, expertise and shared experience as more traditional business consultants.

The Growth Hub brings together GFirst LEP’s business intelligence with the vast array of expertise and ability at the University of Gloucestershire; be this through innovative student talent or experienced academic thought leaders.

Every business in Gloucestershire can use The Growth Hub as a place to work and network, and can access support both online and in-person. All services are free and impartial.

The original Growth Hub project, funded by HEFCE Catalyst, concluded in 2017. Find out more information about the successful journey, targets and outcomes of the project.

The Growth Hub continues to operate as a partnership between the University of Gloucestershire and GFirst LEP, now specifically targeting SMEs through a physical network that stretches to 30+ locations beyond the original centre at Oxstalls Campus. This second phase of support is made possible via the European Regional Growth Fund (ERDF).
