This will cover data about:
- energy and water consumption
- society and the economy
Data about the way the city functions will be sourced through:
- local and national open data resources
- data streams from key infrastructure networks (energy, transport, water) and other relevant sensor networks (for example, weather and pollution data)
- satellite data
- ‘crowdsourcing’ from social media or through specialised apps.
The MK:Smart programme also includes a comprehensive set of educational and training initiatives, as well as innovative business and citizen engagement activities.
