Under the Higher Education Code of Governance, UK HEIs are expected to undertake an annual assessment of their sustainability.

When should assessments be submitted?

HEIs submitting their assessment of institutional sustainability to their respective funding body should do so as part of the Annual Accountability Returns submitted in December each year.

Institutions can use this form for the annual sustainability assurance report (ASSUR) to their relevant funding council from December 2017 onwards.
