The Council has three ‘institutional’ teams which cover different areas of the country. These provide points of contact for colleges inside the Council based on the college’s location. The teams are:

Each directly funded FEC has two people in their institutional team they can contact: a regional consultant and a higher education policy adviser.

Regional consultants lead on the Council's relationships with universities and colleges in a particular region. They also lead strategic projects, have oversight of regional developments, and maintain contact with agencies and stakeholders.

Higher education policy advisers are the first point of contact within HEFCE for queries of any kind.

The HE in FE team

The HE in FE team help to develop policy in this area. The team also maintain contact with relevant agencies and partner organisations. They also attend regional Association of Colleges (AoC) meetings.

The team is led by Adam Lambert (Senior Education Policy Advisor) with support from HEPAs representing each of the regional teams:
