PraxisUnico is the UK’s professional association for public sector knowledge exchange and commercialisation practitioners. Their broader work covers a range of knowledge exchange areas, as described in the cross-cutting section of this portal.
PraxisUnico supports technology transfer professionals in order to improve skills across the whole of the university sector through the provision of training and creating valuable connections between members and stakeholders at their events.
PraxisUnico is also a founding member of the global alliance of technology/knowledge transfer professional bodies, Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP) which drives global, professional standards.
The IPO has developed an updated range of tools and resources to help students, lecturers, researchers and university management to understand, manage and exploit their IP. Resources include the Lambert Toolkit, an Intellectual Asset Management Guide, and an IP Tutoring tool.
A review of good practice in technology transfer from an expert group, chaired by Professor Trevor McMillan, was published on 1 September 2016. We will publish information about taking forward recommendations from the review in due course.
