Evaluation of CETLs

Summative evaluation

SQW was commissioned in December 2010 by HEFCE and the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) in Northern Ireland to undertake the summative evaluation of the Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) programme. The final evaluation of the CETL programme was published in December 2011.

Formative evaluation

In February 2007, we commissioned the Centre for the Study in Education and Training at Lancaster University, in partnership with the Institute of Education Technology at the Open University to evaluate the CETL programme. The report was published in September 2008:

In parallel, each CETL undertook its own evaluation; these contributed to the phase one programme evaluation that reported in December 2007.
