Internal sustainable development

We recognise that we need to continue our own transition to sustainable development.

We have developed a set of internal environmental performance indicators and have committed to benchmark these against similar organisations and to pursue year-on-year improvements in all categories.

We have achieved certification to ISO 14001, an international environmental management system standard.

We also recognise that sustainable development encompasses more than just environmental management. We have therefore published a holistic corporate social responsibility policy for internal sustainable development. The implementation of this policy is an important part of our commitment to excellence in delivery of HEFCE's strategic plan.
