These three seminars are intended for people who will be completing HEIFES14 and those with responsibility for ensuring the data have been verified, and who are looking to gain an understanding of the changes for 2014-15. Please note there is no charge for attending a seminar.

Topics will include changes to HEIFES from previous years, examples to illustrate the changes, and an introduction to the updated HEIFES tables for 2014.

Delegates can choose to attend the seminar in one of the following three venues:

  • Monday 29 September 2014, Conference Aston, Aston University, Birmingham B4 7ET
  • Tuesday 7 October 2014, Woburn House Conference Centre, 20 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9HQ
  • Thursday 16 October 2014, University of Manchester conference centre, Harwood Room, Sackville Street Campus, Manchester M1 3LY

Programme

The seminars will provide an overview of HEFCE funding, cover how to complete your HEIFES14 survey for different students, the definitions used and the process of verifying the data. They will include an interactive session on completing the survey, and opportunities to ask questions throughout the day.

Please be aware that there are changes to the HEIFES survey and verification process in 2014 from previous years.

Who should attend

Delegates need no previous knowledge of the HEIFES return to attend. But we recommend that they know about the types of higher education courses at their college (for example, how and when they are delivered).

We also recommend that delegates read our  before they attend.

We have sent invitations to heads of institutions, HEIFES contacts and higher education managers at colleges, with a link to the online booking form.

We welcome up to two delegates per institution. Places are available on a first-come first-served basis.

The deadline for registration is 5 September 2014.
