Quality assurance and quality enhancement relationships and perspectives

A conference organised by HEFCE, the Higher Education Academy and the Quality Assurance Agency

11 June 2008, East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham

This one-day conference will be of interest to all senior staff in higher education institutions with an interest in quality and its enhancement. It constitutes a significant component in a joint project exploring the way in which changes in quality assurance and quality enhancement are taking place across the sector.

The conference will:

• present the findings of the joint project exploring current institutional approaches to quality enhancement
• provide a focus for the discussion of approaches to enhancement and quality
• facilitate the sharing of policies and practices in this area
• provide opportunities to develop understandings of the relationships between enhancement assurance and accountability within the higher education context.

Places will be limited to two per institution in the first instance.
