Timetable for consultation on new 'University Challenge'

HEFCE has welcomed the request from the Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills, John Denham that we should conduct a consultation into the development of new higher education or university centres in areas of under-provision.

We are in the process of preparing a draft consultation document which we will take to the HEFCE Board for approval at its meeting on 8 May. The formal consultation document will be issued by the end of May.
