Take a tour of the new site and some of its key features.
After an extended period of user research and testing, HEFCE has launched a new version of its site. Its new structure and search facilities have been designed to make information easier to find.

The homepage includes a carousel of images, which will link to topical news or other significant information on the site.

There are links to the main sections, latest news stories and publications.
The main strategic areas of the Council’s activity are now listed under ‘What we do’. The sub-links provide links to topical information in each area.

All publications are now included in one of two lists:
You can search by typing into the box above the title column, or by selecting a category from the drop-down box on the right. Or click on the arrows next to 'Title' for alphabetical order, and next to 'Date published' for date order (the default view is for most recent publications to appear first). Publications (and news) published before 2008 do not appear any longer on the site but can be accessed via the National Archive.

Each principal area of the Council’s activity now has a dashboard page.
This includes links to the most important or current information in the section, and the three most recent relevant news items and publications.

This new section is designed to help users locate data more easily.
It works in the same way as the Publications & reports section: the list of data can be filtered by keyword or by type, theme or year of publication.
We are publishing more data as standalone files. But in some cases the data is inseparable from a publication or other content, and in these cases the link goes to the relevant web page or publication.
We welcome your feedback! We have developed the new site by listening to feedback, and intend to keep listening and improving the site.
