£100 million for new research facilities

14 May 2012

The UK Research Partnership Investment Fund (UKRPIF) has been established to develop research facilities across the UK, encourage collaboration and support excellent research.

In a challenging economy, the fund of £100 million provides an opportunity for businesses to develop strategic research partnerships with higher education that draws on public funding. HEFCE is inviting expressions of interest from UK universities for large-scale projects (minimum £10 million from UKRPIF) that can lever twice as much funding from private sources (businesses, charities, individual donations).  Guidance on the available funding and submission requirements is available on the HEFCE web-site (HEFCE 2012/12).
