The funding will support six researchers across the fields of nursing, allied health, and healthcare science for a period of five years. The awards were made following the third annual round of nominations, bringing the total number of senior lectureships funded by the scheme to 12. The senior lectureships are the highest level of the Clinical Academic Training Programme, which supports individuals committed to developing a career combining research and clinical practice.

Details of the six clinical lectureships are available on the HEFCE website.

The future of the scheme is being taken forward by the National Institute for Health Research and Health Education England.
