These were chosen from 40 expressions of interest which were submitted to the latest round of UKRPIF from universities across the UK.
The 24 shortlisted projects, which will involve universities working in partnership with private investors and collaborators, cover a diverse range of research including areas that have not previously received UKRPIF funding. £200 million of public funding is available through this round of the scheme for projects attracting double-match funding from private sources.
This is the fifth round of UKRPIF, which since 2014-15 has invested over £500 million in 34 major projects across the UK and attracted over £1.3 billion in private investment.
HEFCE invites the universities with shortlisted proposals to submit full proposals to the scheme using the full guidance published today.
A further £200 million of UKRPIF funding is due to be allocated in financial years 2019-20 and 2020-21.
