Annual conference 2005 and annual meeting 2004

The next HEFCE annual conference will take place at St Annes College, Oxford on 14-15 April 2005. As in previous years the conference will provide a forum for the heads of universities and colleges to discuss some of the major developments in higher education. We will be sending you further details about the annual conference in due course and hope that you will be able to attend.

Last November we held our sixth annual meeting, primarily for chairs of governing bodies and other organisations with an interest in higher education, in order to promote a wider understanding of our role. Feedback from last year's event was again positive: those present found the meeting useful in understanding how HEFCE operates and our priorities for the future. We plan to hold the meeting at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London, on 12 November 2004.
