Outcomes of the second consultation on the Research Excellence Framework

In September 2009 we published our second consultation on proposals for the Research Excellence Framework – the new arrangements for the assessment and funding of research in UK higher education institutions that will replace the Research Assessment Exercise ('Research Excellence Framework: Second consultation on the assessment and funding of research', HEFCE 2009/38). These documents present the outcomes of that consultation and initial steps taken as a result.
