Outcomes of the consultation on regulating HEIs as charities and summary of responses

In December 2009 we published our proposals on how higher education institutions (HEIs) are to provide information to HEFCE to enable us to fulfil our new statutory role as principal regulator of HEIs as charities ('Regulating higher education institutions as charities: Consultation on HEFCE's information requirements as principal regulator', HEFCE 2009/45). The document below summarises the outcomes of that consultation and actions taken as a result.
