Executive summary

Purpose

1. This document lists the funding allocated from the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF) during 2001-02 to 2004-05 and provides details of the assessment and award process.

2. The HEIF competition was administered by the HEFCE in co-ordination with the Office of Science and Technology, which concurrently administered the Public Sector Research Exploitation Fund and the second rounds of University Challenge and Science Enterprise Challenge.
