Higher Education in Further Education: Students Survey 2003-04

This document asks further education colleges to complete a survey of students on recognised courses of higher education. The data will: give us an early indication of the number of students on recognised courses of HE at further education colleges in 2003-04; enable us to monitor the achievement of funding agreement targets for 2003-04; and inform our allocation of teaching funds for 2004-05.

Executive summary

Purpose

1.    This document asks further education colleges (FECs) to complete a survey of students on recognised courses of higher education (HE).

Key points

2.    The data will:

  1. Give us an early indication of the number of students on recognised courses of HE at FECs in the academic year 2003-04.
  2. Enable us to monitor the achievement of the funding agreement targets for the academic year 2003-04.
  3. Together with the individualised student record (ISR) supplied to the Learning and Skills Council, inform our allocation of teaching funds for the academic year 2004-05.

3.    This document provides:
