Executive summary
Purpose
1. This document gives outcomes of the consultation (HEFCE 2003/55) which set out plans to develop a Leadership, Governance and Management Fund. Institutions are now invited to submit proposals for funding.
Key points
2. A total of £10 million over three years is available from August 2004 to fund a wide range of projects. All applications will be assessed against criteria which include clear outcomes and impact, value for money, sustainability of outcomes, and effective dissemination. Applications can be made at any time during the three years.
3. There is a two-stage application process. An advisory panel will assess applications for larger amounts of funding when they reach the second stage.
Action required
4. Stage one applications can be accepted from July 2004.
