Regional profiles of higher education 2005

View most recent Regional profiles (June 2006)

This is the seventh annual edition of 'Regional profiles of higher education'. As in previous years, the report sets out a range of data on the pattern of higher education in each of the nine regions in England.

Data and information for 'Learning in the region' has been added in each regional section (May 2006).

Information for each region includes:

  • a map showing all the universities and colleges providing higher education courses, designed to be viewed on screen or printed A3 size
  • the annual income and funding of each higher education institution
  • where students come from, what subjects they study, and how they study - full-time, part-time, undergraduate and postgraduate
  • what kind of jobs students take when they graduate.
