Summary
This report sets out the conclusions of a study commissioned by HEFCE to assess the policy merits and practical feasibility of greater use of information on costs to support the public funding of teaching in higher education. The report does not make recommendations on the future teaching funding method, but does consider the changing context, objectives and options for the future method.
