Specialist Review and Evaluation of the Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability (HEPS) Programme
Summary
The UK higher education funding bodies commissioned consultants SQW Ltd to review and evaluate the Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability (HEPS) programme. The study looked at the factors that influence the promotion of the sustainability agenda, the effectiveness of HEPS in stimulating activity and change in its partner institutions, and the degree to which HEPS achieved change in the higher education sector.
SQW reviewed an extensive evidence base and conducted 116 consultations. It found that HEPS prompted valuable debate and that as a relatively small project had some success in helping to move the sustainable development agenda forward.
