Sustainable foundation degrees: a case study of Northamptonshire

Summary

This report presents the findings of research into the issues and obstacles surrounding the successful and sustainable implementation of foundation degrees in small and medium-sized enterprises and larger organisations, principally in Northamptonshire. The project also addressed the reasons for the disappointing take-up of foundation degrees by businesses within the county. Drawing on these findings, the report identifies key challenges for all universities and colleges that provide foundation degrees, and makes a number of recommendations for improving take-up and sustainability.
