Case studies showing how Higher Education Institutions have used HEFCE Project Capital 2004-2006

HEFCE has made project capital allocations for capital and IT infrastructure in support of learning and teaching and research since 1999.

These case studies are from the third round of funding for projects that supported learning and teaching, and science and engineering teaching laboratories. The original allocations were £317 million for learning and teaching and £60 million for science and engineering teaching laboratories.

An evaluation of project capital allocations is available, which reviewed 72 projects across 32 higher education institutions.
