Costing partnerships – collaborative arrangements between HEIs and FECs

HEFCE commissioned this report to help partnerships of higher education institutions (HEIs) and further education colleges (FECs) to consider the costing approaches they could use in order to make transparent the costs of their collaborative higher education provision. The report describes various costing methods and summarises benefits and challenges arising in costing. The annex describes an approach to costing all partnership provision in an HEI or FEC that could be used as the basis for a partnership seeking to develop its own model. Reference notes for practitioners are also available below.
