Change to the profile of recurrent teaching funding and reinstatement of 2010-11 teaching capital

1.   This letter announces a slight change to the profile of basic grant for learning and teaching for the 2010-11 academic year. We made an additional payment across all higher education institutions (HEIs) in March 2011, and will reduce profiled payments by the same amount spread equally between April and July 2011.

2.   We do not intend to re-issue grant profiles for the remainder of the 2010-11 academic year, but details of the payment will appear on your institution's March 2011 remittance advice. If you wish to know the change to the April to July 2011 profiled payments, contact Karen Mackay (e-mail k.mackay@hefce.ac.uk).

3.   In 'Teaching Capital Investment Fund: Reinstatement of 2010-11 funding' (HEFCE Circular letter 11/2011) we announced the reinstatement of 2010-11 funding. For all HEIs eligible for re-instatement we have made the first payment in March 2011 and the balance will be in May 2011.
