The institutional team consists of:
Chris Millward, Associate Director, North
Chris, in his role as Associate Director, leads the institutional team for the north. He oversees the team as a point of contact for institutions in the North East, North West, and Yorkshire and Humber, and provides strategic oversight and executive direction for HEFCE's work in these regions. He spent several years as HEFCE's Regional Consultant for the East of England, and served as Associate Director for the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
Tina Egan, Regional Consultant, North
Tina Egan is currently responsible for institutions in Yorkshire and Humber and in the North East. Prior to joining HEFCE Tina worked for fourteen years in the HE sector in the North West. Tina worked for eight years at the University of Manchester, initially as a Research Business Manager and latterly as Operational Manager for the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility. Most recently Tina was Deputy Director of the North West Universities Association.
Mark Allanson, Regional Consultant, North
Mark joined HEFCE in September 2009 and is the Regional Consultant for the North West. Prior to joining HEFCE he has held a number of senior university roles reporting to Governors on UK, EU and international student recruitment, admissions, student services, marketing and PR, enterprise and knowledge transfer, development and alumni. He also created and is a non executive director of a university spin-out technology business.
Lis Edwards, Regional Consultant and Senior Higher Education Policy Adviser, North
As Regional Consultant, Lis leads on the Council's interactions with a number of institutions in the North West and Yorkshire and Humber. As Senior Higher Education Policy Adviser, Lis is also responsible for the North institutional team management, team planning and resource allocation.
