Awards enhance medical research

The success of the Clinical Senior Lectureship Awards was celebrated at a recent event.

Clinical Senior Lectureship Awards for Clinical Medicine and Dentistry

The clinical senior lectureship awards for clinical medicine and dentistry were developed with UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC). They aimed to support trained clinical academics in medicine and dentistry emerging from dedicated training programmes.

With local NHS trusts we offered funding for up to 200 posts through five annual rounds of awards. Each post runs for five years and begins at any time between 1 August and 31 July of the academic year following the award.

The fifth and final round of this scheme has now been completed. We have published the breakdown of awards by institution and by specialism.
