Aim of the review
This year HEFCE is reviewing funding for higher education museums, galleries and collections (HEMGs). The review aims to ensure that HEMG funding continues to be based on clear principles and evidence.
Submissions received from HEMGs will be assessed by an independent panel of experts, chaired by Diane Lees CBE. The panel will make recommendations on the future funding levels of each HEMG.
Funding decisions will be made by the HEFCE Board. Subject to available funding, the review will set priorities and future funding levels from 2017-18 for five years.
2016 review process
The submission deadline was noon on 5 August 2016. We are no longer accepting submissions to the review of this fund.
HEMGs who submitted to the review will receive feedback from the review panel in due course.
