The guide is based on the experiences of HE providers involved in the York Consulting study and is made up of their lessons learned and recommended tips for HE providers.

It is arranged into six key themes with case study examples to demonstrate the kind of issues providers can expect to face at various stages of the process. Each theme is structured in the following way:

1. Lessons learned

This is a list of what the HE providers think are the most important lessons they have learned during their sponsorship arrangement.

2. Top tips

These are top tips for other HE providers planning to sponsor a school.

3. Case studies

For HE providers who wish to dig deeper, we have provided case study examples which illustrate how institutions have managed issues, challenges and opportunities.
