Specific funds

We aim to provide as much as possible of our funding as a block grant. This ensures the autonomy of institutions and reduces the burden on them. We do, however, allocate a number of funds that cannot be secured through the 'recurrent' funding method.

These funds take the form of 'special' funding and earmarked capital for specific purposes.

They include funds designed to provide incentives and encourage good behaviour, such as the Catalyst Fund

This section profiles some of these funds, and provides further details.
