We funded these 'demonstrator projects' following recommendations from a report on employer engagement from the Quality Assurance Task Group.
The Higher Education Academy has brought together findings from the different projects, and published a summary report, with links to reports from each project.
This synthesis of findings, and the reports themselves, offer examples of good practice in the way universities and colleges can approach the issue of quality and standards for learning programmes designed to meet employer needs. They therefore provide a valuable point of reference for the future development of activity in this area.
The Higher Education Academy's work draws together these examples into a mixture of general guidance and advice from specific case studies. It covers material relevant to those responsible for the development of employer engagement activity at institutions, including any support staff, and also looks at the process of developing systems and infrastructure.
The QAA published a report in 2010 providing information on how institutions are managing quality in relation to employer engagement activities.
